The North Face, Inc. is a famous outdoor products manufacturing corporation which focuses on high-end outerwear, fleece, footwear and tools. The North Face products are especially created for climbers, mountaineers, skiers, snowboarders, hikers and athletes. The line of clothing is known for its easy use while mountain climbing or in various other extreme sports activities.
The North Face brand was created in 1968, in San Francisco, California, when Douglas Tompkins and Kenneth “Hap” Klopp founded a tool and equipment trade market that ultimately obtained the name “The North Face”, inspired by the north face mountain in the northern hemisphere which is very steep and cold, and commonly known to be the most difficult mountain face to mount.
