The KLM logo was created in 1961 by F.H.K. Henrion and revised in 1991 by Chris Ludlow of Henrion, Ludlow & Schmidt.

Shape of the KLM Logo

The memorable stylized crown in the KLM logo comprises of four circles, a line, and a plus. It gives a regal feel to the emblem for Royal Dutch Airlines by “crowning” the initials. The simplified and elegant treatment of the crown contributes to the visual distinctiveness, recognition and brilliance of the overall logo.

The use of light blue color in the KLM logo depicts integrity and the ability to continue growing in all situations and circumstances.
